Flew 6:04 on this one and carried 12 500 lbs G.P.’s.

Flak was classified as meager and inaccurate. I only saw four bursts but there was more than that. We bombed our secondary target the marshalling yards. We had 10/10th cover & of course that helped because if it was visual it could have been as bad Big B, if not worse. We bombed from 22,500 ft. I was sweating this one out too because it was supposed to be visual but as usual the weather man was wrong. I think that someone caught hell because our escort P-51’s went down thru [?] clouds and no doubt they probably got some civilian’s [sic]. We flew Number three in the second squadron.
