Took off about 1000, and got back to Rackheath about 1300, ate dinner and had the two bottles of champagne we had been able to get, got paid and before we got back to the hut, they called us to fly again. Bernie had gone on sick call as soon as we landed so we got another navigator and took off at 1630 for St Dizier. Les and Doling stayed at the plane so Renaud, the navigator and I went to town. We had found 10 empty wine bottles which we were going to get filled, but there was just none to be bought. Found a place that had orange sherbet and it was really good. Also bought 3 doz. delicious tarts Went back to the plane quite early.
