Waite, Lyle Dwaine
We were alerted again today. We were supposed to bomb a railroad viaduct at Bielefeld. The radar was out so we bombed the marshaling yards at ‘Munster”. We bombed the smoke markers of the lead outfit. I doubt if we hit the target area. This was our 7th mission. Real easy mission. We flew No. 674 again. Chaff load was 720 pkgs. Ammo 4500 rounds. 6x1000 lb bombs. We got six hours and twenty minutes of flying time.
