Entire crew except Co Pilot and Mike at right waist. Aborted first plane before takeoff but joined formation after a late takeoff. Dropped 12 - 500# GP bombs on marshaling yards at Saarbrucken, GEr. We had P-51, P-38 & P-47 fighter protection and encountered no enemy fighter opposition. Flak was light and inaccurate to and from target and intense-accurate over target. We had one flak hit on #2 engine but caused no trouble.
