Up at 0800 and it's still raining - we're an awful looking bunch by
now - dirty and be whiskered not having cleaned up or shaved since the 22nd or 23rd. Brought this diary along and have just brought it up
to date while sitting in the cockpit. Got back to Rackheath about noon and they said to be ready to go again at 1500. Ate dinner, shaved and started a letter to Louise when they called us out again. Got down to France about 1745, but we had to circle for 45 minutes while they landed a group of P-38s that were short on gas. Soon as we got down, Les, Doling and Renaud took off for town and Bernie and I stayed to taxi the ship. Warmed up some Crations in one of the tents and after the ship was unloaded, we bedded down about 2300.
