Diary Type: Combat - 25 Apr 45

Flynn, Joseph Leo
Flew 8:01 on this one and carried 20 260 lb. Frags.

No flak at all and no bandits reported in the area. It was a good raid, the target was a power house (electrical) and it was whacked out but good. The bombing was done visual, in fact it was visual all the way. Saw a lot of France, Belgium and Germany. Didn’t see any activity as we crossed the lines though. I did see part of the Bavarian Alps & they really looked nice, also saw the Swiss Alps in the distance. Saw Munich from about twenty miles away & even from that distance you could see that the place has really been hit, but good. I was nervous and jumpy in the plane but not nearly as much as the first time I flew after coming back from the flak shack. We were on oxygen about two hours.

We flew number five in the third squadron.
