8th Mission

Hamm, Germany
Target Marshaling Yard largest in Germany.  Bombed P.F.F.  Couldn’t see results.  2300 gals, 7 hours long, 3 hours on oxygen.  Flak was meager.  51 fighter support.  Powell damn near went out.  Oxygen mask froze. Lucky I had an extra mask with me.  Flew 171. up for tomorrow.  Now only 27!
