Statement of Waist Gunner (Right) A/C 42-95224

Flying a Practice Mission on a B-24 H-224, a P-47 was making passes at us to have us practice tracking. I was the right waist gunner on this plane. As I felt the impact I saw pieces of rubbish flying past the waist window. As I looked out I saw the P-47 do a loop past the right side in front and below our nose, that was the last I was of him then I stood by on interphone to wait for orders. He took the nose turret and gunner off. The tail was off the P-47, but roller as he went out of sight. With a calm crew and a good pilot, Maj. Wallace, we landed safely.
