Got up about 0830 and went on sick call with a cold and didn't do much the rest of the day. The mission today was to Mainz near Frankfurt and it was really a tough one. Lots of flak - one of the gunners on Lacken's crew (with Bannister, Baskey & Christenson) got some flak in his foot. Bannister finished up a couple of days ago and Christy finished today. Mailed the Air Medal and pearls to Louise and wrote her.
