Diary Type: Non-Combat - 17 Nov 44
Waite, Lyle Dwaine
We left Stone for our operational base at 6:30 a.m. We arrived at Norwich in the late afternoon. They put us in some trucks and hauled us out here. We ate supper and then went to a lecture and got our barracks assigned to us. The next day we found out we were at Rackheath on some Lord’s estate. It sure is a scattered out place. It has been bombed a couple of times.
