The twenty sixth mission on April 11, 1945, was planned to destroy the oil plant at Regensburg. The crew received a certificate of recognition for our combat leadership, bombing accuracy, and excellent results in leading the second squadron. We carried five 1000 pound bombs to the target. The pilot's name was Patten. The flight took eight hours and fifteen minutes.


General Orders #137 was issued on April 16, 1945 for the fourth Air Medal.
