Rewey, John Delbert
Got up at 0600 and got a breakfast worse than the other one, but had
to force down some of the powdered eggs and cereal. Wrote a short note home. Had to go clear across the field about a mile or more to shower, so we went without it. Made occasional trips down to the plane. Were set to brief that afternoon, but called o f f because of weather. George, Bernie and I went into town and it was really interesting. Had a bite to eat - 1 slice of toasted bread with cheese, salmon and tea and it cost 1/6d. Had a couple of beers, went up to a castle now used as a hospital then watched a dance for a while. Back to the barracks.
