Rewey, John Delbert
Caught the liberty run at 1300 and the train left Norwich at 1440.
Got in to London at 1845 and took a cab right to the Grosvenor House. That's been taken over by the Army for officers and we had a nice supper. There was sure a lot of rank in there. Got a cab and started hunting for a room about 2030. Finally the cabby suggested a hotel and we were lucky there. It was the Green Park Hotel on Half Moon St. about half a block off Picadilly. Had a 3-room suite and were the beds ever soft. Went out walking around Picadilly till about midnight and then to bed. Lots of fog as usual.
