Waite, Lyle Dwaine
We left Kimner for the boat. We rode a train to the ferry and rode the ferry across the harbor to the boat. We boarded the “Louis Pasteur”. It was a captured French boat. It used to be a nice luxury boat. It had a six-inch, a three-inch gun. It also had a couple of 40 mm, about 8-20mm, and a few water cooled 50 calibers.
