The Ken Driscoll crew had the distinction of leading the 467th with Col. Shower as command pilot on the Group's first combat mission on 10th April 44 to Bourges, France. Harold Pantis (Navigator) was taken POW, George Brannan and Richard Creighton (Gunners) were KIA when flying as replacements with the Harrison crew (Crew#018-R0) on the Brunswick mission of 8th May 44.
The crew was assigned to the 801st BG(P) on 10 May 44 upon the 788th BS transfer to night time special operations. Transferred to new assignment on 12 May 44.
