B-24's taxi for takeoff. Unfortunately, the quality of the original is not good enough to identify all the aircraft. The two Olive Drab (OD) on the left in the background are able to be identified.
The one to the left is 42-52559 'Miss Fortune'. She was interned in Switzerland on 12 Jul 44. The other B-24 is 41-29397 'Slugger Jr', Both of these are identified as being assigned to the 790th BS in this photo.
'Slugger Jr' was assigned to the 790th on 12 May 44 when the original 788th BS was reassigned to the 801st BG. These two aircraft flew 5 missions together while with the 790th BS. #046 on 08 Jun 44, #055 on 18 Jun 44, 24 Jun 44, #066 on 28 Jun 44 and 'Miss Fortunes' final mission #075 on 12 Jul 44.
